My name is Evans Manduku. I am the general manager in charge of distribution at Old Mutual Life Insurance Limited.

What was the drive for you to have your career management in the insurance/financial sector?

My main drive for taking a career in insurance was basically to enable the the penetration of the insurance knowledge to the masses. You reckon that a lot of people in Kenya, do not understand any most aspects of insurance. They don't understand why insurance is important. So my main drive for taking up a career and most importantly management in an insurance company is to enable the spread of the insurance knowledge to the general Public.

How does it make you feel every time seeing the feedback from others in your professional career?

The feeling is great, that of satisfaction, because as I said earlier, every time I get to impact positively in someone someone's life, that is a great feeling of satisfaction.

What inspires you everyday to get up, go to work and push the knowledge to others?

Creating a positive impact in people's lives.

In all your years in operation, what would you consider as the biggest highlight of your success story so far?

Year in year out, I strive to grow the sales volumes in the job that I do. So, growing sales volumes, basically means you are reaching out to many people, hence, increasing the insurance penetration, secondly, mentoring the young and upcoming people to see insurance as a great career. Also gives me great satisfaction.

In your profession, how does a phone come into your creative workflow and how do you use it?

The phone has actually revolutionized the way we do our work. First and foremost, it has enabled me to plan better by having the planning feature in the phone, that is the calendar. It makes me plan better, get in time for my meetings and also put in remind us of some tasks that I need to do. Secondly it has also enabled me to use less paper you know a lot of organizations have been grappling with the use of paper, which, of course, goes to the core of environmental destruction. So with having a phone, you're using less paper. Thirdly Interacting with customers has been made real time any time you have something to pass on into your customers. You can do it in real time through the various applications that the phone potents.

What were your first impression when you unboxed the Phantom X2 for the first time?

When I unboxed the Phantom X2, it was an eye-catching accessory. It had very many accessories that came with the phone. It is, it was sleek. And I really like the design large screen and yet very light, not bulky and most importantly thin and was very comfortable to hold.

Which feature of the Phantom X2 do you feel is the most important to your workflow and how do you use it?

Oh, the camera, the camera, the translator feature Ella, and also the ability of that phone to charge very fast. Those are the key features that I really love about the Phantom X2.

On scale of "It's a bust" "worth a look" or "it's a no brainier" where do you place the TECNO Phantom X2 series?

It's a no-brainer. It’s a lovely piece of accessory to have.
